Be a part of women helping women by sponsoring a table or buying your tickets for this “Ultimate Girl’s Night Out” fundraiser on January 19 presented by Soroptimist International Loomis Basin.
The Soroptimist International (SI) of Loomis Basin It’s in the Bag designer purse event fundraiser is back and will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis to invest in dreams by supporting women’s education projects.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased from Soroptimist members or at Hebard Insurance Solutions located at 3837 Taylor Road, Loomis using cash, check or Venmo @SoroptimistLoomis (note name and phone number with “purse” and address if you want tickets mailed). Tickets include dinner, bottled water, table games and door prizes. Alcoholic beverages and purse raffle tickets will be sold separately. At the event, attendees can purchase tickets and put those in baskets to be drawn for designer purses.
Purse event sponsorships are available for businesses that wish to invest in dreams and support Soroptimist scholarships and education projects, explained event coordinator, Chris Hebard-Summers, Hebard Insurance Solutions. “The $1,500 Platinum level sponsors receive promotion and a table for eight with wine and souvenir glasses,” said Hebard-Summers. “There are also $1000 Gold, $500 Table and Swag Bag sponsorships.” Contact Hebard-Summers at 916-652-0404 for sponsorship information.
It’s in the Bag funds the Soroptimist Dream It, Be It career exploration program that the club conducts with girls at Koinonia Group Homes. The funds raised also provide Live Your Dream scholarships to single mothers. In addition, the Loomis Soroptimist club provides grants to teachers, a Del Oro High School scholarship and supports the Loomis Senior L.I.F.E. Center.
