Soroptimist International of Loomis Basin will host a Designer Purse Extravaganza fundraiser from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Blue Goose Event Center, 3550 Taylor Road, Loomis. Tickets are available by calling Hebard Higby at (916) 652-0404 or dropping by the office at 3837 Taylor Road, Loomis. Tickets are $20 and include appetizers, water, games and door prizes. The fundraiser supports teacher grants, the L.I.F.E. Senior Center, Women’s Opportunity awards, former foster youth and many other community and international projects focused on improving the lives of girls and women.
